NEU Strike Action - Wednesday 1st February 2023As you are no doubt aware one of our teaching unions, the National Education Union (NEU), has announced strike action.
In our case, we have a large proportion of our teaching staff who are in the NEU. Because of this we will need to close our school largely to students (Years 7, 8, 9 and 10).
Year 11 only will be able to attend school as normal
SEND pupils: Our school will be open to previously identified vulnerable students. Arrangements to book a place can be found via this link
https://forms.office.com/e/WpV432U7gY - please return this form by Monday 30th January 2023
Distance learning: all pupils in years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will be guided to work to complete through Go4Schools.
Free school meals: The school kitchen will be open and anyone requiring a school lunch should let us know, using the following link
https://forms.office.com/e/JKSyN3mjs9 and can collect a packed lunch from 12.00. Please complete this form by Monday 30th January 2023
Thank you for your understanding, and we will endeavour to ensure that the strike days run as smoothly as possible for our pupils (especially our examination groups) in these difficult circumstances. We will write to you nearer the time of the later strike days and indeed before February 1st should this situation change.
Yours sincerely
Paul Farr, Head of School
