As  Parents/Carers of a student at Belvidere, you are automatically entitled to join our PTA. This does not have to be an onerous task, we always need new people who are willing to help out at Discos, Car Boot Sales or providing refreshments. The more people we have on baord the better. Events are organised on a rota basis, if you are available you help out, you do and if you are not, you dont; simple.

Please contact Mr Thomas at school if you are interested in joining. Or join us at our PTA Welcome Evening on Wednesday 13th September 2017 at 7pm, in school.

Belvidere has a thriving PTA who organise a wide variety of activities throughout the year including car boot sales, social evenings and our popular school discos once a term open to Key Stage 3 students. We also provide refreshments at all of our school shows, plays and concerts ensuring that our audiences and performers are well looked after.

The PTA meets once per half term to plan events and all parents/carers are most welcome to join. The PTA is always on the lookout for new fund raising ideas, it might be that something worked well for you at your child’s primary school or you have an idea you would like to try – please do get in touch if this is the case.

All money raised by the PTA goes directly to benefit the students at Belvidere. This year the PPTA have been able to fund the purchase of some electronic pens that are used to help students with their understanding of texts. All of our Year 7 students have been enrolled in ‘Book Buzz’, which as well as giving each of the students a free book it encourages them to enjoy reading throughout their time at school. The PTA have once again committed to funding this for the new Year 7 intake.

Our popular summer school for students about to start at Belvidere, always has a fun day of swimming at the Quarry Pool and this year this activity is being funded by the PTA. In addition to this, students have enjoyed a jousting activity on their leaver day as well as an afternoon at the cinema and a trip to the ten pin bowling centre with their friends, teachers and support staff in recognition of their hard work and commitment in school.

Finally, to enhance our provision should an emergency occur in school, Belvidere PTA have committed to fund a defibrillator which is soon to be installed on the school premises. All this is made possible by the hard working team of PTA volunteers and parents/carers and students supporting our events.

In addition to fundraising events, our popular 100 Club gives you the opportunity to support the school and win some cash prizes at the same time.

We do hope that you will be able to support our events and look forward to welcoming you soon:
